Awards and contests

In 2010, “La Barra de César Anca” was selected to participate in “la Mejor Barra de España” (the best Spanish bar) contest on “Feria Gastronómica de Alicante” (gastronomic exhibition of Alicante) where we present this three tapas:

  • Octopus on French toasted potatoes on “Ajada” and mild au gratin garlic mayonnaise.
  • Oxtail cannelloni with crunchy Iberian ham (you can taste it).
  • King prawn brochette with Brie cheese mousse and kataiji bird’s nest.

2011 – 1º prize in “II Feria de la Tapa de Valencia” with:

  • Oxtail cannelloni with crunchy Iberian ham.

2012 – 2º prize of “VIII Concurso de Tapas de Diseño” (Madrid Fusión): A spanish contest where only 6 spanish participants were selected.

2º prize in “III Feria de la Tapa de Valencia” with:

  • Prawn tartar over a banda “socarrat” rice.

1º prize in “III Feria de la Tapa de Valencia” with:

  • Chef’s-style deep-fried stuffed mussels.
